What would you be least likely to find in a data center?
Drop ceilings
Dry pipe fire control
Smoke detectors
Surge protectors
Drop ceilings must not be used in data centers that are adjacent to server rooms as they give an intruder a potential path over the wall and into the data center. ||@Ajay Why not a Dry Pipe Fire control. A dry pipe system contains compressed air. Once suppression is triggered, the air escapes, opening a water valve that in turn causes the pipes to fill and discharge water into the environment. Data Center has Electrics so no Dry Pipe System. Or am I missing something.
Answer should be dry pipe; because it does not give enough time to stop false positive of false alarm. Preaction supposed to be used in data center.
No, Drop ceilings is the correct answer - they create a security risk compared to a raised floor which is easier to control. For preaction vs dry pipe, it comes down to cost. Data centers aren't necessarily highly controlled and expensive facilities in the medium to large business arena, you'll find dry pipe far more often. Think of this question from a security management perspective, you will always have a fixed budget.
