If enabled in Windows DHCP Server how does Conflict Detection try to prevent duplicate IPs ?
It uses CDP and LLDP to find hosts and used IPs
It pings the IP before assign it
It asks the router if the IP is used
It sends a broadcast and see if someone answers using this ip
It uses its local ARP table
None of the above
Start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) DHCP snap-in (Start, Programs, Administrative Tools, DHCP). Right-click the DHCP server and select Properties. Select the Advanced tab. By default, "Conflict detection attempts" is set to 0. Increase the value to 1 or 2, as the figure shows. Setting it higher than 2 isn't recommended because each attempt takes as long as 1 second. Click OK.
