A router configured with OSPF in a multi-access network remains in 2-WAY state without reaching the FULL state. What can be the issue?
The router is not a DR/BDR.
The router is the Designated Router.
The router is elected as a Backup Designated Router.
The link state information is incomplete.
The router cannot receive hello packets.
A router that reaches to 2-WAY state means that it has already received a hello packet. If a router needs to go beyond 2-WAY to Exstart/Exchange, Loading or Full it means that the Link state information will be exchanged and a DR/BDR will be elected. Routers that are not DR or BDR remain in 2-WAY state. A router remaining in this state doesnt mean it has an issue; it is just that is not elected as DR/BDR.
