For emergency reasons, two switches with autosensing/Auto MDI-X ports need to be connected together with a straight cable.
**What is the result of this operation? **
Its not possible to connect the two switches with a straight cable.
The switches will be able to communicate.
The straight cable needs to be converted to a crossover cable.
The port will display an up/down state and no communication will occur.
