In regards to packet/password sniffers, what's a capture driver?
It's a specialized NIC (network interface card) driver that must be installed in order to conduct packet capturing
It's the component that actually does the packet capturing
It's where captured packets are stored, so the capturer can look at them
It's what masks your packet capturing on a network, so you can't be caught doing a passive attack
In a packet sniffer, a capture driver is the component that actually does the packet capturing. Edit: WHAT?! How is the answer NOT about the actual NIC driver to conduct packet captures? Instead you want to choose the answer that says basically the same thing, but more generically? I'm so tired of this.
