Maximum Tolerable Downtime is composed of _________ and _______
Choose two
Recovery Time Objective (RTO)
Work Recovery Time (WRT)
Recovery Point Objective (RPO)
Disruptive Event
MTD = RTO + WRT == >>(restoring system) + Restoring data, testing,etc. for production.
RTO is the earliest time period and a service level within which a business process must be restored after a disaster to avoid unacceptable consequences associated with a break in business continuity .
WRT is the remainder of the overall MTD value. RTO usually deals with getting the infrastructure and systems back up and running. WRT deals with restoring data, testing processes, and then making the system "live" for production purposes.
RPO is the acceptable amount of DATA Loss measured in time.
This question is bogus. Maximum Tolerable Downtime is defined by the business not the aspects of recovery... DRP should be designed to ensure that MTD > RTO+WRT
I agree. MTD is independent of how long it really takes. You are ok if you can do it in less and out of luck if it takes more. This question is stupid
This question isn't stupid. For testing purposes this question is valid. If recovery from a specific BCE before the MTD is reached isn’t possible the BCP team must work together to to extend the MTD. However, it doesn't change the formula MTD=RTO+WRT.
