Refer to the exhibit. With a topology design like this, what problem could occur, and what technology solution can be applied to prevent such problem?

Routing Loop, Spanning-tree Protocol
The network design provides fault tolerance by using multiple switches and redundant links. This however, could cause a packet to be passed through the redundant links endlessly. This condition is known as Switching Loop or Bridging Loop. To prevent this kind of loops, IEEE 802.1d defined a standard called Spanning-tree Protocol (which uses Spanning-tree Algorithm) which prevents loops by putting a certain port on a switch to Blocking state (doesnêt participate in frame forwarding). Split Horizon is used to prevent Routing Loops. (Source: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/lan-switching/spanning-tree-protocol/5234-5.html)
