What would be the port LED color of a switch when it is in blocking mode?
red
amber
blinking green
green
If the port status LED of a switch is amber in color, the port is in blocking mode and is not forwarding data (typically, ports remain in this state for 30 seconds after being activated). If the LED is blinking-amber in color, the port is in blocking mode to prevent loops in the forwarding domain. If the LED is green in color, a link or segment is present. If the LED is blinking green in color, the link or segment is currently receiving and sending data. If the LED is alternating green-amber in color, there is a link/segment failure. And, if the port status LED is off, either the port is administratively shutdown or there is no link/segment present.
