Assuming encryption standards were the same, in which environment would aircrack-ng perform best in?
Enterprise Business(Large Organization)
Medium Business
Home Network
aircrack-ng (similar to airsnort) relies on large amounts of traffic. If all three networks were using the same standard the amount of traffic would be lowest on a Home Network, and highest in an Enterprise environment. The more data the tool has, the faster and more likely it will crack the encryption. EDIT: I think this is misleading, if you are using aircrack-ng to brute force a key a key captured from a de-auth flood, it doesn't matter what volume of traffic the wi-fi is pushing - and I'd argue less thought goes into securing a home wi-fi key than a corporate one, so it would probably crack it in less time and 'perform best' in the home scenario. Edit: Corrected to reflect right answer. EDIT: The question specifies they are using the same standards, therefore the amount of data IS the important factor. You don't just get to assume things, like the home user is using a less secure key, but ESPECIALLY not when it's explicitly stated that the opposite is true. Corrected back to original answer.
