No data is being sent or received in a switchport of "SW1" but the MAC addresses are being placed into the CAM Table for that switchport. What can be the reason for this problem?
The switchport is in the Forwarding state of the STP process.
The switchport is in the Blocking state of the STP process.
The switchport is in the Listening state of the STP process.
The switchport is in the Learning state of the STP process.
In STP, a port is moved from Blocking to Listening state. In listening state, a port cannot send or receive data frames, however BPDUs are continued to be sent so the port can participate in the STP process. In learning state the switchport is preparing to become Forwarding or Root Port. The port is moved then to Learning state, where it can learn MAC address but it still cannot send any data frames. And finally the port becomes a Forwarding port where it can send and receive BPDUs and any frames.
