Refer to the exhibit. For some reason the access switchport 1/1 cannot participate in the STP domain. The port is being displayed as "errdisable" state and the message is continuously showing up on the console. What can be causing the issue? EDIT: The Exhibit is missing! The answer is "The BPDU Guard is disabling port 1/1 which has PortFast configured."
PortFast is not enabled on one side of the link.
There is a layer 2 encapsulation mismatch.
802.D STP is configured on the local switch, while RSTP with different timers is configured on the other end.
The BPDU Guard is disabling port 1/1 which has PortFast configured.
The STP PortFast and BPDUGuard feature disables the port as soon as the bridge receives a STP BPDU from other device. Port fast is enabled on the switchport and skips the listening and learning state to provide a faster transition from Blocking to Forwarding state.
