The network design of a new company requires a maximum of 1000 total host IPs that can be used on the network, and scalability is required for a future expansion of up to 20% growth. The design is divided by three areas; Accounting with 200 hosts, VIP with 50 hosts and Sales with 450 hosts. The routing protocol to be used is a classless protocol. If this design is followed, what problems can be presented when implementing it? (Choose 2)
The sales area needs a /22 subnet mask for the 450 hosts.
The serial link between Router R1 and R2 is wasting address space.
Accounting needs a /25 subnet mask for the 200 hosts.
VIP area subnet mask /27 is insufficient for 50 hosts.
VIP area needs a /28 subnet mask for the 50 hosts.
Accounting area IP address space is insufficient for the 200 hosts.
The best design when implementing serial point-to-point links, is to use a /30, which is 2 valid IP addresses. In this case the 172.31.10.10/24 is wasting many addresses in the point-to-point link. VIP area requires 50 hosts, if a /27 subnet mask is implemented; the total address space would be insufficient. To cover up for the 50 hosts, a /26 subnet mask would solve the problem. The other areas have sufficient IP addresses and also consider the future expansion of 20% growth. Subnet mask /23 has 510 valid hosts, subnet mask /24 has 254 valid hosts and subnet mask /26 has 62 valid hosts.
