Refer to the exhibit. The network has been configured with STP and default values. A Port-Channel is configured between SW1 and SW2. The port channel consists of four links of 100Mbps each. The Root Port of Switch "SW3" has failed. What is the new cost for SW3 to find a single path to the Root Bridge?

STP duplicates the increased bandwidth provided by EtherChannel. According to the chart below,
| Link Speed | Default STP Cost | |-------------------|------------------| | 10 Mbps | 100 | | 100 Mpbs | 19 | | ^2 Etherchannel | 12 | | ^3 Etherchannel | 9 | | ^4 Etherchannel | 8 | | 1 Gbps | 4 | | n1 Gbps Etherchannel | 3 | | 10 Gbps | 2 |
The default cost of a 100mbps is 19, but since the link is a bundled Etherchannel consisting of four 100Mbps links, the cost is reduced to 8. In this case the cost of going to SW1 and using the EtherChannel and going to SW1, then the 1Gpbs (cost 4) link to SW4, then to SW2 is tied at 12.
