____________refers to the process of destroying, beyond recovery, physical data that was printed from a system.
Dumping the data
Scrubbing the data
None of these
Shredding the data
Shredding is the term used for the physical destruction of platters of a hard disk to ensure that it never is recovered. Smelting is a form of destruction as is degaussing followed by disk shredding down to required size (see individual standards). Grinding disks into small particulate is also acceptable . For the CISSP test; Smelting , grinding, and Degaussing/Shredding are all physical forms of "shredding"
EDIT: WTF???? How is data printed in a hard drive? Stored maybe? ?
EDIT: For this question, shouldnt the answer read something like: Shredding is a process that can be used to destroy printed data/documents. Dumping does not indicate secure disposal and scrubbing relates to data integrity.
Comment: Agree with the two previous posts. This is an awkward question.
Edited the question to state Physical data that was printed from a system
