What is a way a designer can mitigate buffer overflow from occurring in their code? Choose all that apply.
Use Java where feasible which sandboxes applications.
Write code using boundary checks within the code.
Write code without boundary scans.
Use a protocol robustness test to verify the code meets qualifications for proper boundary and common key stroke entries.
The best answer is to test the code with a robustness test, but it's also important for the designer to use boundary checks in the code, otherwise after that robustness test result, designer probably rewriting from scratch....C++ and other object oriented languages are particularly egregious without proper boundary checks and are wide open to buffer overflows, underflow, and improper sequencing of commands from input devices . EDIT: You can't use "Choose Best Answer" and "All That Apply" in the same question. EDIT 2: If a designer is not coding in Java why would they be using Java? I grant that sandboxing applications that may be poorly written would be a plus, but this question is about "their code" and not about what you or I think is the best programming language.
