Which routing protocol is most suitable to use with customer-to-ISP or ISP-to-ISP route exchanges?
EIGRP
IS-IS
OSPF
BGP
Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) is an Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP) which uses best path selection algorithm to determine the best path to a destination. It is a very robust and scalable (uses many route parameters, called attributes, to define routing policies and maintain a stable routing environment) routing protocol commonly used to route traffic between Autonomous System. If an Internet Service Provider (ISP) is using BGP to route traffic within an Autonomous System (AS), it is referred to as interior Border Gateway Protocol (iBGP). If it is used to route traffic between ISPs, it is referred to as exterior Border Gateway Protocol (eBGP).
