VRRP
HSRP
Both HSRP and GLBP
GLBP
HSRP (Hot Standby Routing Protocol), VRRP (Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol), and GLBP (Gateway Load Balancing Protocol) belong to a class of protocols, called FHRP (First Hop Redundancy Protocol). Cisco introduced the proprietary HSRP, as the first FHRP. IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) later developed VRRP, a standards-based protocol very similar to HSRP. Finally, Cisco created the proprietary GLBP as the more robust FHRP.
